Authors of literary texts have a data page with relevant data and eventually a short description. The title of the data page is the name of the author.

The data page contains:

 1. An infobox with essential data and links to the author's selected works;
 2. A short description or biography (optional);
 3. Links to readings refering to the author, or to images, audio and video connected to or about the author;
 4. The category tag;
 5. An interlanguage link tag (recommended).

The data page layout is hence as follows:

Wiki markup or text in the page Description
1. {{Infobox-fr
The Infobox template creates a floating box, which can contain an image and basic data.
2. Free text (optional) You can add a short text about the author. General formatting rules apply.
3. See the Hungarian reference call below. Automatic references, created with the help of correct category and semantic annotation use, are called with this tag.
4. Use Szerzők instead of Auteur(e)s for author data pages in Hungarian. Categorizes the page as being about an author.
5. Use hu instead of fr for author data pages in Hungarian. Declares the language code of the content for interlanguage links that connect pages with similar content for different languages.

Infobox

This is the first element of an author's data page. It is created with an infobox template.

For example, the first lines of the page dedicated to Maurice Carême are as follows:

Which gives:

CAREME 5 - photo Burny bw.jpg
Petite Flore (1937)
La Lanterne magique (1947)
Semeur de rêves (1953)
La Grange bleue (1961)
Médua (1976)

You should start the infobox with the {{Infobox-fr line if you want to have an infobox in French, and with the tag.

Parameter names are always in English, but parameter values can be added in any language. Actually, if you use the French Infobox ({{Infobox-fr), you will probably want values to be in French.

Parameters

The following parameters can be added to an infobox. All parameters are optional. You can use text formatting markup and links.

Parameter name Parameter name rendered in French Parameter name rendered in Hungarian Notes
title no rendered text no rendered text If omitted, the page title is used. The title is in top middle of the infobox in bold characters.
image no rendered text no rendered text The name of an image without the File: or Fichier: part.
birthname Nom de naissance Születési név Used if it is relevant.
birth Naissance Született Date and place of birth.
death Décès Elhunyt Date and place of death.
nationality Nationalité Állampolgárság
education Formation Iskolái
occupation Activité Foglalkozása
works Œuvres principales Főbb művei List of selected works, with links to text data pages. You should use the "Author of" property in the link (as above), see Semantic links. If a given work has several authors, use the "Coauthor of" property silently (see below).

Short description

After the infobox, you can add a short text about the author, e.g. his/her biography.

Links to readings, images, audio and video

Automatic reference lists are called with the help of or Referencia tag. In the case of authors, you need to add a parameter:

 • if the author data page is in French, add the parameter "cet auteur", like this: .
 • if the author data page is in Hungarian, add the parameter "szerző", like this: szerző.

If there are links with "Refers to" (or "Fait référence à") property pointing to the page, they are automatically listed.

 • If you call the tag, links are listed after this text: "Les lectures suivantes font référence à cet auteur :".
 • If you call the szerző tag, links are listed after this text: "Az alábbi olvasatok utalnak erre a szerzőre:".

Note that if you don't use the "cet auteur" or "szerző" parameter, the above texts will refer to texts.

If there are links with "Linked to" (or "En lien avec") property pointing to the page, they are automatically listed.

 • If you call the tag, links are listed after this text: "Images, vidéos ou présentations en lien avec cet auteur :".
 • If you call the szerző tag, links are listed after this text: "A szerző az alábbi képekhez, videókhoz, prezentációkhoz köthető:".

Note that if you don't use the "cet auteur" or "szerző" parameter, the above texts will refer to texts.

You only have to use the reference tag once; the two types of links are called with the same tag.

Category tag

 • for author data pages in French.
 • for author data pages in Hungarian.

Interlanguage link tag

The same author can have several data pages in different languages. You can link these pages with interlanguage links. The interlanguage link tag declares the language code of the content for interlanguage links that connect pages with similar content for different languages.

In the tag, the first argument specifies the language code (fr, hu) of the content, while the second argument contains an arbitrary reference (in this case, Maurice Carême) that describes content of similar nature (content that should be connected to each other) for different languages.

Even if a given author data page does not exist yet in another language, it is recommended to add this tag. Thus, when a data page is created for the same author but in a different language, the two data pages will be connected.

Note that you cannot create two pages with the same title. If a page entitled "Maurice Carême" already exists and you would like to start a new data page for Maurice Carême in Hungarian, its title should be different, e.g. "Maurice Carême (hu)" or "Maurice Carême (költő)".

Coauthored works

In the case of coauthored works, you should use the property "Coauthor of" in links pointing to a text data page instead of the property "Author of".

Contrary to other properties used in the Rich Annotator System, the property "Coauthor of" is of datatype "Text" (not "Page"). Hence you can add more information to the property value, e.g. "illustrated by..." or "with..."; but, on the corollary, you should manually add a link to the text data page.

For example, L'Usage du monde is coauthored by Nicolas Bouvier and Thierry Vernet. Nicolas Bouvier's data page therefore contains a simple (unannotated) link to L'Usage du monde in the infobox with the information "(illustré par Thierry Vernet)". At the bottom of the page, a silent annotation is added to store the information semantically: . In-text annotations are not recommended for this property.
